Probably around 8-10 as mentioned. Im in Canada, imperial gallon 15% larger so I get 10-12mpg. 10 all city driving and 12mpg towing my 96 to the track on its hauler.

One of my co workers keeps bragging that his 2001 diesel gets 20 mpg while my v 10 only gets about 10 mpg. He has now replaced somthing call a lift pump for a second time 2 x $3500 and one other expensive diesel specific item (I can't remember the name right now). I think he is into 8-9 grand in repairs for just the diesel parts. The repairs I've done to the V 10 engine: throttle position sensor $50, plugs about $70, K&N cold air intake $400, plus regular oil changes (I run full synthetic as it is good for an extra .5 mpg). That being said, I glad I live close to work and don't have to commute with it.

A very good point that I think is overlooked. Your mileage is irrelevant if you're dumping tons of money into it elsewhere to keep it running!

In the city I average about 6.5-7, and on the highway I get 9-10 if I'm lucky. My truck is bone stock.

Oops, I apologize about the necropost. Didn't notice that when I originally posted. I guess it's a good idea to keep the V10 information available though, because I'm having trouble finding some myself.
