Well, i did find out why it's running hot. My Efan stopped working. So, in the AZ 118 deg days, my engine started to creep up.

If anyone knows what controls the reply to turn on please let me know. I currently running a ground switch for the relay to turn on the E-Fan up front.

I asked the dodge dealer, in the 5.9L there is only 1 temp sensor. However, my gauge is working fine. When, I turn on the A/C that E-Fan does not turn on. So, I'm wondering where is the control unit for that fan?

With the E-Fan running my temps are a steady 180-190 deg.

The PCM controls the Relay.

I wish it was a bad relay. However, I can ground the pin on the relay and the fan switches on. I wired in a manual switch inside my cab to ground (meaning turn fan on & off). When grounded fan turns on. Not grounded fan turns off.

The fan is controlled by the PCM......Get a wiring diagram and start testing.

Default No Buss seen in ODO Message 1991 4.7L Durango

No buss in odo,no fuel gauge ,no volt gauge operation? This is the best advice use the book or any new information about it.The book may tell you to change a part that it doesnt need and or it didn't fix the problem So move on.So many things can cause the network to go down, Think of the Buss as a two wire phone line that all the modules can share information on and can cause no comms between modules. wireing, conectors, wrong part, new parts and so on I have seen many failure's Pcm's,Clusters, body controle modules, radios even A/c heater control heads on the caravans, and etc.etc. I had a shorted Cam sensor causing a Durango with a 4.7 to not start but crank, the pcm and cluster were not talking on the buss due to a cam sensor short internally found by thinking why is the 5 volt referance from the new PCM the book said to change not there. A good scaner, test light a volt meter and some asprin help fix this one.WHAT i'm trying to say here is if the book say's to change a part it may be wrong. So Just be glad it's not your car or your money that you are spending unless you are working on your own car then check the sensors Cam,Crank,O2 etc. first before changeing the PCM I Hope this Helps save someone money.

I have the nobus with a 2002 durango. I have changed the cam and crank position sensors and it is still showing up. I checked most of the wire leading to and from the ECM. Is there anything else I am missing, before I purchase the ECM.

Have someone wiggle the ecu connect while you start your rig. If your rig starts, then its most likely your ecu.

Same thing happened to me about 1 yr. Ago. Put in a remanufactured ecu off ebay and the 5.9l Durango has been running without issues ever since. You will need to supply your vin & mileage. Total cost was $199. Had an ebay coupon at the time of purchase. Lol

Yes, crank sensor could cause it. But in my case, I could be driving anywhere and all of a sudden, my D would shut off and the "no bus" on.

Then I would try to start my truck and nothing, wouldn't crank over at all.

I would pop my hood, go and wiggle the ecu connectors, then my truck would start. Then drive off. However, it would happen again the same day or the next.

After changing the ecu, its been fine ever since.
