Default Bed size question

Is the short bed on a single cab Ram the same length/width as the short bed on an extended cab and quad cab Ram?

yes as far as i know it is. I know chevys and fords very but dodges stay the same. even the short box on the new mega cab is the same size. actually i found this interesting, a short box mega cabs frame is the same as a quad cab long boxes frame.

Ya, I think all they did was take a quad cab with an 8ft bed, replace the bed with a short bed, and use the extra space gained to extend the cab back. Wonder if they will every come out with a MegaCab that has an 8ft bed. That would be a bear to park.

FYI, the reason I ask is that I am looking to buy a used tonneau cover for gas mileage and to store stuff I buy in when the weather is bad so I don't have to use my back seat so much. Pretty sure the truck it was on was a reg cab short bed, not quad or extended cab.

it should fit i think....whenever you look on the stickers when new (Dodge Ram) they say "Short Box" or "Long Box" When i bought my Access ($450) new all it said on the box was "94-01 dodge full size short box"
they do not say "Short Box Extended Cab" or "Short Box Regular Cab" etc........i guess what im saying is that---for dodge at least---a short box is a short box and long box is a long box, reguardless of the cab size, the cover should fit.

When I was looking for my cover alot of places used 6ft.(short bed) and 8ft.(long bed) to decifer between the two. Also my brother-in-law has a single cab and our beds are the exact same.
