Default 1999 dakota Front rotor removal

I am having trouble getting the rotor off. Its a 4 wd does the rotor just come off after the caliper is removed? Or do I have to take the hub nut off. I am not sure what to do

It just pulls off.

Smack it with a big hammer just make sure you don't hit the studs.

Depending on the rotor there may be a screw hole to push the rotor off though, I've never had to use that method.

Go with a BFH.

One side on my truck is easy as heck to remove, the other side always requires the BFH. I still use a piece of wood to protect it, just in case the replacement is somehow bad.

Good luck!

If never removed some have retaining clips on a stud or two look for them.

But a BFH is the answer
