Default 1500 haul limit

Alright, i got a 1500 4x4 and im about to go get some mulch. If I fill my truck up itll be around 1600lbs. I know thats way too much for my 1/4 ton but i was thinkin bout half(800lbs). Still over a 1/4 ton but i dont think itll be a problem. I know Ive had just under a ton in my old 82 1/4ton ram prospector and barley made the bed sink(thing was a champ!!). But just out of curiosity, how much have yall hauled in your bed without breaking something?

5000 pounds of dirt in my 3/4 ton..... that definitely made 'er squat. I didn't have to go far though.

Mulch stacked above the cab while towing a stump grinder. Several scoops of gravel. Dirt, horse manure. A whole lot.

My springs sag a little now

Passenger seat to the roof (boxes), tray to the roof line (furnature & boxes), and a tandem car trailer with a Neon (also packed to the gills)... PA to FL, not a problem.
Weight, no idea, but not light

Should be a 1/2 ton, right? 1600 lbs. is heavy, but you can probably get by if you stay out of OD and take it easy. I know mine has been that heavy. I just watch the springs when loading and quit when they start flexing the wrong way.

Yeah OK. I don't make a habit of it, but have loaded it that heavy a few times.
