Default Spindle/Axle Nut socket size?

Can anyone confirm beyond a shadow of a doubt what the socket size is for the spindle nut on 2002 Ram 1500.
I have been told 36MM, I have also been told 1-11/16th inch.
Unless I am doing my math wrong one is not just the metric quivalent of the other so what gives?
I am buying a socket for some work I plan to do and would prefer to buy only one.

Thanks

I have read here on the forum it is 35mm which supposedly translates to 1 3/8. I would stick to metric on this truck though. With all the sockets and wrenches I have used metric always fits better on the Ram. I have an 02 as well.

35MM or 36MM? - See my confusion
Maybe if we get few more replies we can build a consensus on this.

I have a 35mm which I have used several times on my front hubs, and I have an 02 as well. That one fits perfectly.
