My "new" 02 Dakota QC 4.7 auto 4x4 has a toasted front drive shaft, but everything else seems to work great. I took it out and can at least drive the truck without all that front end noise. I was told by a parts yard that his 03 would fit Dakotas from 01 through 06, so does that mean an 01 through an 06 front drive shaft will fit my 02? Are those years interchangeable on the front drive shafts?

 

i think it should but only to 04 because there was a complete redesign for 05 i believe you need to make sure it has the same transfer case that you have
