Default so called power wire

i am interested in the power wire that makes your cpu think it is 20 degrees cooler and advancing the timing. my question is: do hemi owners that have actually used this mod notice a difference?

i have read the past threads and didnt see any hemi owners that have this mod. i am looking to hear from only those that have used this. no sellers of product or people who know someone or v6s or 4.7s owners.

are there any hemi owners that can give me an opinion?

also i have seen that one can be made for $2. i am interested in what i need to do this. pics would be nice. thanks.

I have one on my Hemi and I like it. It does exactly what it says it does too. I have checked the timing and intake air temp using my superchips and the powerwire does drop the reading the computer is getting from the intake sensor by about 10 degrees as compared to the actual outside temp . I think it is a nice mod for the $40 that I paid for it. I have heard of people making them for a lot less but you need to get the right resistor and have to cut and splice into your wires. This you just plug in line with your sensor and can easily remove it whenever you want.

It works, but realize that the pcm compares the actual temp to values in a table. And that table has a floor. The pcm reacts no differently to 40 degree weather then it does to 20 or 0 degree weather. That means the powerwire wont do anything for you during the winter in WV. The power wire is a great summertime mod. Guys in the south can use it year round and see results.

Oh, I ran one for a number of years.

Airram makes good products, not the junk you find on eBay.

I cut the stock wire and crimped in the proper resistor for less than $1. It's covered in heatshrink and will last forever. I certainly don't plan to ever remove it.

Looks like I am in the minority and will say that it does not work; at least for me. I seen my mileage and throttle response go down. I installed it and then took it off (after a few weeks either way), then repeated the process again. I finally sold mine, but would have given it away. I hope you are one of the fortunate ones that it works for.
