Default New way to remove crank pulley...

Alright, as I said in my other post, I was going to tear her down and reset the timing. Well I didn't feel like going to auto zone so I was just going to remove everything except the crank pulley, but then I decided to implement some red neck engineering... I have a huge 3 jaw puller that is in no way designed to do this, but after several attempts, I flipped the jaws around so they grabbed the inner edge of the outer part of the pulley (if that makes any sense, lol). Then I took the pulley bolt, drilled a small hole in the middle of it, threaded it in about 5 turns, then tightened her down. After about 10 turns she decided to break free taking a chunk of my thumb with it[:@], it was my fault because I did not get the puller on good. Tried it again, worked like a charm! I got as far as I could go on the stock bolt, so I got a longer one and threaded it all the way down, by now the pulley was coming off easier so it was alright on the longer bolt. Finally it came off. Only took 1 hour, lol. I do not recommend doing this however, the tool meant for it is much much better. I will post pics of it later. Timing belt write up with pics, yes? no?

nothing wrong with that setup. that is why the jaws are reversible.

The main problem was that the puller was too big for this job, and I had a hard time with clearance issues to turn it because I had to use a breaker bar.
