Default Looking for headliner retainer strips

I have a... (*gulp*) 1959 Plymouth. Aficianados know that Dodge Ram headliner strips (P/N L830HW6) are a near perfect match for what was used in '59 Plymouths. And so I did, years ago... But now, they have developed a split, and the headliner panels are sagging. I'd like to replace them, but apparently this part number is now unobtanium! Is there any help for me? Second source (other than dealer), salvage? Or, have Ram owners found a substitute that may in fact, work for '59 Plymouth owners? I'd like to know.

I have a short piece left, but what I need are two strips on the order of 63" long. I show a pic of the cross section here:

cross-section of Ram headliner strip. The gap between the clip is ~1/4"

adTHANKSvance,
Dan

Geez, it almost looks like you could use a vinyl floor transition from HD or Lowes.

Kinda looks like it, doesn't it? But they're all 1.84" wide - the Ram strips are 1". I think it might look odd if I trimmed it, and I think it would be hard to trim. But thanks for the thought!

Hmmm... Mebbe. Have an Amazon link to that part? There's not enough info in that pic for me to find it.

That helps - I found it
here here
.

A few problems, though - the reported dimensions are "‎0.04 x 0.04 x 0.04 inches", which can't be; I don't know if it's wide enough. Secondly, it has a slightly concave surface - I need something convex, or at least flat. Thirdly - even if I remove a portion to open the strip to straddle the headliner rail, there aren't any teeth to grip the rail. Under the weight of the panels, the strip will eventually fail.

So I'm thankful for the suggestion, but this is an unlikely candidate for replacement.
